Hi, I'm Savannah — founder of Cornerstone Admin. I grew up around this industry. My family owned a brick masonry business in Alabama, and the men in my family have been trades workers and day laborers for generations. I understand to my core how valuable and hardworking this industry is - and how much the office side gets shortchanged. I've spent more than ten years working inside the construction and building supply industry, watching the same scene play out over and over: skilled contractors and crews who could build anything, running their businesses out of glove boxes and late-night kitchen tables. Quoting jobs at 10 PM. Forgetting which sub still owed a COI. Watching hot leads go cold because nobody had time to answer the phone.
The fix is obvious — they need office help. But hiring is its own full-time job. A real office employee in Knoxville costs $50,000+ once you factor in payroll taxes, benefits, and the cost of replacing them when they quit. Most small contractors can't justify that, so they keep working 70-hour weeks and hoping the back office sorts itself out.

Why I'm different from the offshore VA companies
I'm based in Knoxville, Tennessee. Same time zone, no language barrier, no 14-hour delays.
I actually speak construction. COIs, lien waivers, draw schedules, change orders, permit cycles — this isn't new vocabulary I'm learning on your dime.
I've spent over a decade inside the industry. I've seen exactly where the leaks are, and I know how to plug them.
I'm small on purpose. You'll work with me directly, not get handed off to a different VA every month.

Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online, payroll, 1099 prep, AR/AP, COI tracking, and contractor compliance, as well as Elations, SOV/Pay-apps, HR & Operations for a multi-million dollar company, I have worked alongside CFOs, CPAs, and Financial Investors. I have handled everything from multiple OSHA inspections, TN environmental inspections, down to fire inspections. I know TnTap like it’s the back of my hand and all the filings down to an LLC renewal. If it’s admin work I’m a phone call away.
When I'm not at the keyboard
Outside of work, I'm rooted in the East Tennessee community — active in local scouting (BSA), serving as a certified Disaster Action Team member with the American Red Cross, and involved in my church. Showing up for the people around me is something I take seriously, and that's the same way I show up for my clients.
